I won a signed copy of Khe (all the way from the States to New Zealand) in a New Year’s giveaway.
Khe, is the first in a wondrous series. Highly recommend.
My 5* review:
Extraordinary! The cover hinted at a wondrous world. Khe’s unique tale captivated me from the first page. There was a real sense of depth with the characters and the communities they lived in. Absolutely wonderful! I will be on the lookout for more stories by this author.

Ashes and Rain
An inspirational story that lingers in your heart.
Love this story. Khe is one of those characters that touches your heart. This extremely talented author has created a unique, vivid, and magical world with multi-layered storylines that vibrate within your soul – I wish I was as noble, brave and selfless as Khe. Themes of sisterhood are interwoven with corruption. In this second book it’s a brave new world where everyone must find a new path. Who will become the new masters and rise up from the ashes?
Other books by this author are worth checking out, too. All are well polished and professionally edited. I highly recommend Khe, the first book in this series – it’s listed on my website blog as one of my top 5*reads. Shadowline Drift is a uniquely different storyline to the Khe stories – it’s a captivating supernatural –thriller set in an exotic jungle setting.
This author breathes life into her words and you are transported into these wondrously imaginative worlds. I will be reading every new offering from this author. Looking forward to the Khe prequel.
Gama and Hest.
Exquisite world building.
Exquisite world building - unique, wondrous and totally absorbing. I loved both Khe + Ashes and Rain and this prequel sets the scene perfectly. Although I knew where this story was heading I was riveted to the pages, toes curled as the inevitable unfolded. Well written and I'm hoping for more in this series as I'm invested in the characters and their world. These stories would be spectacular on the big screen. Highly recommend all books by Alexes Razevich.
Shadowline Drift
Masterful storytelling
I was enthralled from the first page of this unique thriller – a weave of mystery and supernatural. The story is populated with diverse and interesting characters with hidden agendas. Descriptive writing at its best – I was sweating alongside Jake as he blundered through the foliage, while pungent jungle scents assaulted my senses. The visual imagery had me utterly immersed in the story. This is the second book I’ve read by this talented author and I will be seeking out all future works.
New Zealand fantasy author Belinda Mellor has a well deserved place in my book shelves.
Her Silvana series is one of my all time favourite fantasy series. An absolute classic.

Silvana. The Greening by Belinda Mellor.
Wondrous and haunting.
Like the last lingering sweet note of a plucked harp string this story echoed through my thoughts long after I’d reluctantly closed the final page. My best attempt to categorize this wondrous story with its eloquent prose would be as a literary fantasy. The imagery is hauntingly beautiful and a feast for the senses – floral scents and musical lilts almost wafting off the turning pages. I’m delighted that the next in this series is now out. Silvana is a storytelling masterpiece – highly recommend!
Silvana : The Turning
A haunting masterpiece.
Bravo. Bravo. Standing ovation. If this book was a piece of classical music, after the last note played, the last page turned, the final sentence read, there would be a pause as the audience reconciled itself that a masterpiece, an intricate weaving of words into raw human emotions, has sadly come to an end. Feelings of loss. Hands unwilling to close the book, wanting to hold onto the threads of the story for just a bit longer. To stay within the world of the Silvanii, which at this twilight moment feels more real than our own flesh and blood lives. A sadder tale than The Greening, one that cuts a bit deeper into our soul, the pages almost weeping with sorrow, but also a message of hope and love. The seeds for the next story have been firmly sown and I await with ardent anticipation Book Three.
Cheers,
Wendy
